Jesus Christ is God Almighty in the Flesh. This is the Gospel, believe Jesus Christ shed his precious blood and died for you and all of your sins on the cross, he was buried and he rose again from the dead three days later from God's Power and you will be saved, you are a Born Again Christian and you will go to Heaven forever. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God to where we all deserve death, destruction and judgement in the Lake of Fire from the wrath of God to where we need a savior to save us for our sins forever. By receiving Jesus Christ's blood sacrifice as full payment for your sins you will be saved forever. It matters not how much you have sinned in the past, in the present and in the future for yourself to be saved. Once you are saved you are saved forever no matter what. Good works will not ever save you and no one and nothing else will. That is the Gospel and if you believe in the Gospel you are now a Born Again Christian and you are now saved and you will go to Heaven forever and that is the whole truth. Spread the truth. If we do good works for God as he commands, we will please God and he will give us rewards to have in Heaven forever! All glory goes to God forever! Praise God! Amen! That may have been more common in the past than it is right now, especially in the Christian market, which might be why this reviewer isn't familiar with it. But styles come and go, and it'll come back around. J. M. Maybe tag me in it when you post the link? Otherwise I'll forget.

This story can't be told with only two POV's. It's impossible. There's too much going on, too many things in the background the hero doesn't know about, but the reader needs to know about. That's what the secondary POV's are for.Rachel Leigh Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16004728242824462126noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1590433355776857400.post-55907896895075975662014-09-12T19:24:36.825-04:002014-09-12T19:24:36.825-04:00Rachel, hopefully you'll be blessed with only ...Rachel, hopefully you'll be blessed with only positive reviews! Isn't it fun to finally get feedback from readers. Well, sometimes not so much! I totally relate to the 5-star review that you go back to when you're depressed. lol! I have some of those too.

That is strange about the multiple POVs. It's certainly not uncommon and sometimes it's the only way to tell a particular story. It's wonderful to have a good editor who gives that kind of advice too. We can get too close to a story that we don't see when there are a few bumps.

Thanks so much for the vote of confidence on the "drippy" religiosity! Her comment about the "real" story, by which I suspect she means the romance, gave me pause too. I'm going to put up a post on that next week, and I'd love to get your feedback on that one. Romance vs history. That ought to spark a discussion!J. M. The book went live today, so I expect there will be more and eventually I'll get my first negative one.

In one of the two I have, the reviewer said she found the multiple POV's jarring. I can't figure out why, unless maybe she's so used to only two her mind doesn't know how to cope when it sees a third and fourth pop up. My editor did note that one POV entry was abrupt, so I found a better place to introduce him and smoothed it out.

The other one I have is a five star, and it's the kind you go back and read when you get depressed about stuff. It means all the more to me because it's from a professional editor, who did my proofread, and she messaged me death threats every single day she was reading.Rachel Leigh Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16004728242824462126noreply@blogger.com
