  1. Oh, Joan!! I'm beside myself with glee!! They fit your books so beautifully - I am really, really impressed and awed!! It's just the kind of cover I long for myself. Worthy of Eckert and Thom - and YOU!! Marisa, the designer, is so gifted. They truly are top of the line and if I was in a store, they'd be the first ones I'd nab. The covers of my heart and yours, surely. Congratulations!

  2. Hey, Laura! I'm so glad you love them too! :-) I really dithered about whether I ought to go in a more romance direction or go straight historical, and after seeing these covers I feel like I made the right decision--they really are the covers of my heart! I guess we'll see how the market responds to them. lol!

  3. I'm with Laura, I'd gravitate straight to these covers and be thrilled to discover they were fiction. So well done.

  4. Thank you so much, Lori! I still can hardly believe they turned out exactly the way I envisioned them. Of course, it took us a few tries to figure out what the vision was... lol!

  7. Thank you so much, Carla and Roseanna! I'll tell you, doing covers is just the most fun part of this job--both writing and publishing! Uh...now need to get back to actual writing if I'm going to have Crucible of War ready by the first of the year. lol!

  8. Joan, they are beautiful! I thought the original covers were lovely, too. These are so artistic. And how often does an author get to exactly get their vision of the perfect cover actually done? Amazing!

  9. Carrie, it doesn't happen very often, I suspect. And I didn't think it was possible with these covers either, but I suspect the Lord had a hand in it. :-)
